Canvas print – Philip and the Ethiopian Traveller

Two men meet beside a wooden cart in a bright, sparse landscape.

A detailed illustration shows two men in long robes in a sparse landscape. One man stands beside a wooden cart and speaks with the other, who is seated on it. A large wheel, rolled scrolls and a spreading tree complete the scene. Pale rock formations stretch across the background beneath a broad, open sky. The restrained palette of cream, sand beige, taupe and warm browns, along with soft shading, gives the image a calm, narrative quality.
