Canvas print – Dresden Zwinger Crown Gate – Abstract Interpretation

Abstract Crown Gate at Dresden's Zwinger with a crowned dome, open arches and low galleries.

A tall gateway pavilion with a dark lower passage, open upper arch and turquoise dome stands between low galleries. A golden crown-like finial and the approach over a dark moat band support a free abstract interpretation of the Crown Gate at Dresden's Zwinger. Ochre, beige, brown and soft violet shape the architecture in loose brushstrokes. Geometry and sculptural details are deliberately simplified.
